Acucare Total Health Honors: Dr. Scott Varley and Dr. Edwin Patrick
AcuCare Total Health in Elgin Illinois is pleased to honor Dr. Scott Varley and Dr. Edwin Patrick, two Chiropractors that have provided remarkable healing service to their patients over a combined period of 84 years. 2017 saw the retirement of both Dr. Varley and Dr. Patrick from their years of dedicated Chiropractic Service.
There simply are not enough accolades and thank-yous that we can offer to these two men that improved the life of thousands of patients during their decades of devoted practice. Both Doctors were passionate in their efforts to empower their patients to transform their lives in order to function at the highest potential.
“Dr. Varley’s and Dr. Patrick’s contribution to AcuCare Total Health has been phenomenal” stated Dr. Renee McMurry of AcuCare, “They are Giants in the field of Chiropractic Medicine. It’s so important to recognize Dr. Varley’s and Dr. Patrick’s eight decades of exceptional accomplishment with their patients. They made it look so easy – It takes years to develop the service and skills they provided to their patients every day.
It has occurred to me lately that I regret that we didn’t have a chance to film these two Doctors at their work. I’d love to have a visual to examine the nuances that made them great. They just made it look so simple. A video or film would have been 84 years of collective wisdom gathered to advance the profession and train future doctors.”
Dr. Scott Varley, D.C., is a Graduate of Kent State University in 1973 and received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic, Illinois in 1977. In addition to Chiropractic Medicine, Dr. Varley’s specialized in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and has been recognized as a Diplomat of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Varley has been a long-standing member of several organizations including the Illinois Chiropractic Society; the American Chiropractic Society; the International College of Applied Kinesiology; and the National College of Chiropractor Applied Kinesiology Club.
Dr. Varley, now retired, resides in Elburn, Il with his wife Janice; has two grown sons and two grandchildren. He enjoys golfing, gardening, boating, and a variety of outdoor activities.
Dr. Edwin Patrick, D.C. is a Graduate of University of Wisconsin (1970) and received his Doctorate of Chiropractic, Cum Laude, from the National College of Chiropractic, Illinois in 1973. Dr. Patrick has been a long-standing member of several organizations including: Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (Fellow); American Chiropractic Association; Illinois Chiropractic Society; American Association of Spine Physicians; Council of Chiropractic Orthopedists; Council of Chiropractic Radiology; National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. In recent years, Dr. Patrick has also served as a President of the Northern District, Illinois Chiropractic Society and the Board of Directors, Larkin Home.
Dr. Patrick, now retired, resides with his wife Linda; has three adult children and several grandchildren. He has enjoyed several years as a coach for various community softball, baseball and basketball teams.
Dr. Renee McMurry commented further: “We now have seven Chiropractors on staff here at AcuCare Total Health. All of us hope to honor Dr. Varley and Dr. Patrick by carrying on their legacy. And each of us hopes to achieve the kindness, artistry and expertise these men devoted to their patients.”
